Entry 18+ and ID Verification

Access to our bar and licensed offline casino floor is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 and over. By using these facilities, you represent that you are of legal age.

We require valid photo identification for entry into these areas. Acceptable forms include a current Passport, a New Zealand Driver's Licence, or a HANZ 18+ card. Identification must be original, legible, and presented on request by our staff or security team.

We reserve the right to refuse service or entry to anyone who cannot provide acceptable proof of age or who is found to be using fraudulent identification. Visitors may be asked to present ID at any point during their visit, not only at initial entry.

Booking and Cancellation Terms

All booking inquiries made through our website are subject to availability and formal confirmation by our physical booking office. A submitted inquiry does not constitute a confirmed reservation until you receive written confirmation from our team.

We may require a deposit or credit card guarantee to secure room or event reservations. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the type of booking — specific terms will be provided at the time of confirmation, including any applicable deadlines and fee schedules.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Alderwick House Auckland shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website or facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of personal property, personal injury, or financial loss related to gaming activities.

We are not responsible for the services provided by third-party transport or tour operators mentioned in our visitor guide. Guests engage such services at their own discretion and should verify the operator's credentials independently.

We recommend that guests take reasonable care of personal belongings while on the premises and use the in-room safe provided in our accommodation for valuables.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alderwick House Auckland, its directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your conduct within our venue. This includes any legal costs incurred by us in enforcing these terms.

We take the safety and reputation of our complex seriously and will hold individuals accountable for actions that cause harm to our physical property or brand. This includes damage to fixtures, equipment, or furnishings, as well as behaviour that negatively affects other guests' experience.

Costs incurred by the venue in repairing damage or responding to incidents caused by a guest may be charged to that guest and, where applicable, pursued through legal channels.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Applicable law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms or your visit to Alderwick House Auckland shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This document represents the entire agreement between you and Alderwick House Auckland regarding your use of our services.

What happens if I lose my room key? +

Please report lost keys to the reception desk immediately. We will issue a replacement after verifying your identity. A small physical replacement fee may apply. For security reasons, we deactivate lost keys right away to protect your room and belongings.
